Our goal as content writers is to give the potential customers just the right amount of information.
When we hit the right cord with valuable content, customers keep coming back.
Potential customers on the internet have an attention span of a few seconds. Capturing the attention of the customers is essential for the growth of the business.

Here are 10 tips to write better content:
1. Keep the sentences short and to the point
Short sentences are easy to understand for your target audience. Break a long sentence into two or more sentences.
2. Use common English words
Common words like difficult instead of arduous make it easy to understand. If the content is easy to consume, your reader will continue reading. If the potential customer doesn’t understand, they will look for other resources.
3.Make sure that the paragraphs are not longer than 3-4 sentences
Long paragraphs are difficult to read and even harder to scan.
To make your article easier to read, do not have more than 3-4 sentences in one paragraph.
4.Use bullet points
Bullet points make the article easier to scan. Highlighting in bullets will highlight important points, and pull out the fluff.
5.Mention relatable stories/experiences of your own when applicable
Adding an experience makes the reader feel you are genuine and know what you are talking about. It builds a sense of trust.
6.Avoid using ‘really’ ‘very’ behind adjectives
“Really” “Very” are intensifiers without any deep meaning. Using stronger adjectives conveys the point better.
Ex: Use Huge instead of Very big
7.Avoid using filler words like ‘basically’ ‘just’ ‘like’
Filler words are used when you want to buy more time to gather your thoughts.
Using these words doesn’t establish authority and makes it seems like you are confused/unsure about the topic.
8.Invite readers to share their thoughts at the end
Invitation increases engagement. It makes it more personal and makes your audience feel that you care about their opinion.
9. Start with an attention-grabbing headline
The headline stating that an article is offering a solution to the problem, answering a question, then the reader is more likely to read through the rest of the content.
10.Always proofread
You can’t wait to hit the publish button.
But before you do that, read the article thoroughly for any grammatical mistakes, spelling mistakes. Even better if someone else can review.
